Artistry in Motion Summer Seminars

Join Paula Wagener, the US Figure Skating creator of Artistry in Motion, as she presents her Performance School at ISCC from June 26 through July 5! Paula is a classically trained ballet dancer working with skaters. She is PSA Master Rated in Choreography and Style Coach.

In addition to the seminars, Paula will be available for a limited number of private on-ice lessons.

Freestyle Hours:


Available for private lessons or to just practice.
Our sound system lets you hook up your iPod, MP3 or CD player to play your music.

All skaters must have an up-to-date United States Figure Skating Association membership to participate.

Physics in Figure Skating

Have you ever wondered how you rotate in the air and come down on a tiny blade? How about how to spin around and around on the ice? What makes a skater go fast and stop in a split second?

This class is designed to explain how power is created between the ice and the skater, how to rotate in the air and in a spin, and to increase your knowledge on the building blocks of skating by using your edges.

George Flathers, known as a top professional in the Northeast region, brings his expertise to ISCC for boot fittings, mounting, sharpening, and other related skate services.

George has been in the industry for more than 35 years and is the owner and operator of 'Skatesport' in West Springfield, Massachusetts.
