Ron
Frances will join Dave Hunter to offer hockey instruction to children at
the International Skating Center of Connecticut in Simsbury, CT by leading
the Playmakers Hockey School. The school is geared to hockey players at the
Mini-Mite through Bantam levels. Focus will be on improving skating, stick
handling, passing, shooting, breakaways and puck control. Playmakers Hockey
School is based on the belief that all young hockey players will best
improve their skills through a positive and fun experience with committed
and talented instructors. Mr. Frances has played 23 years in the NHL and 2
Stanley Cup Championships. He is a 5 time NHL All-Star and the All-time
Carolina Hurricanes leader in goals assists and points.

"Coach" LEARN TO SKATE PROGRAM FOR HARTFORD CITY
KIDS
Simsbury, CT (January 23, 2005) - For the
past four weeks, The Hartford Financial Services Group (NYSE:HIG), a major
employer in Simsbury, and the International Skating Center of Connecticut
have been teaching Hartford children how to ice skate and play hockey. This
week the children look forward to an appearance with former Hartford Whaler
Ulf Samuelson. Mr. Samuelson will join the children on the ice, provide
coaching and instruction and skate with our new hockey stars!
Employees
of The Hartford in Simsbury have teamed up with coaches from the skating
center to implement the 4th annual "Learn to Skate" program for
children from the Fred D. Wish School. This year, children will have the
opportunity to become "Hockey Stars" as they are also
participating in the skating center's instructional hockey program.
The
program was created to introduce city kids to the sport of skating while
encouraging them to develop their athletic abilities. The program began
Sunday, January 2nd at the International Skating Center in Simsbury and
will continue for 8 consecutive weeks until February 20th.
This
session of Learn to Skate/Hockey Stars is directed by Paul Faulkner, who
has 13 years of experience coaching Youth Hockey at all levels from
Learn-to-Skate through peewee. He has taught Power Skating and Hockey
Skills and is a USA Hockey, Level 3 Coach. Paul has been assisted by
employee volunteer coaches from The Hartford's Simsbury office in coaching
the children on the ice.
The
50 elementary students from the Fred D. Wish School who have been selected
to participate must have committed to all 8 weeks of classes and promise to
maintain academic standards and positive behavior.

BankNorth Connecticut, promises two star-studded shows featuring 2002
Olympic Gold Medalist & 4-time World Champion Alexei Yagudin, 2004
World Champion Shizuka Arakawa, 2004 US National Champion Johnny Weir and
Brian Joubert, 2004 World Silver Medalist 2004 European Champion. All this
talents adds up to a lot of gold - gold medals that is and a golden
opportunity for fans to experience these tremendous performances.
This
show will also feature the incredible talent and grace of ice dancers Galit
Chait and Sergei Saknovsky who are the Israeli National Dance Champions and
Svetlana Koulikova and Vitaliy Novikov, Russian National Team Members. In
addition, Dan Hollander will take center stage with his hilarious comedic
talents.
Expression
on Ice III is scheduled for Saturday, October 9th at 7:30pm and Sunday,
October 10th at 2:00pm. Tickets are still available for $39.95 and $29.95

available for children 12 years of age and under for Sunday's performance

Saturday, June 24, 2000 -- George Flathers Joins the ISCC
Skate Services Team
The international Skating Center of Connecticut is very
proud to announce that George Flathers has joined the ISCC Skate services
team. George, who is known as the top professional in the Northeast region,
brings his expertise to the ISCC for boot fittings, mounting, sharpening,
and other related skate services. Initially over the summer George will be
at the ISCC twice a week, potentially establishing a specialized boot
fitting shop within the ISCC by the end of the year. George will direct the
boot-fitting end of the operation and will combine with our own Skip
Anderson to handle sharpening and other skate services. George's days and
hours at the ISCC will be determined and posted at the front desk.

years and is the owner and operator of 'Skatesport' in West Springfield.
His commitment to excellence in providing the highest level of service to
his customers has earned him his outstanding reputation in the Northeast.

Season's first "Brigham's Premium Ice Cream Catch a
Rising Stars" Skating series Features U.S. Junior National Dance
Silver Medallists Emilie Nussear & Brandon Forsyth, 2000 U.S. Junior
Nationals Bronze Medallist Kathryn Orscher
Who will be our future Olympic champions? Skating fans may
see for themselves at this season's first " Brigham's Ice Cream Catch
A Rising Star" show in Simsbury at the International Skating Center of
Connecticut, this Friday, June 30th at 6:30 PM.
Skaters from twelve countries including China,
Ukraine, Russia, Italy, England, Sweden, Japan and Israel and
from thirty states in the U.S. will live and train in Simsbury this summer.
"Skating fans won't have to wait long to see these
future champions," said John Thomas, Director of figure Skating,
ISCC." Our international kids will perform in a special edition of
Brighams Premium Ice Cream Catch a Rising Stars' on Friday, June 30th at
6:30 PM To add to the excitement, 2000 World and U.S. Junior
National Dance Silver Medallists Emilie Nussear & Brandon
Forsyth, 2000 U.S. Junior Nationals Bronze Medallist Kathryn Orscher
and Israeli Olympic hopeful Daria Zuravicky will make special
guest appearances."
ISCC will host four "Brigham's Ice Cream Catch a Rising
Star" shows this summer on June 30th, July 14th, August 4th, August
25th.
"'Brigham's Ice Cream Catch a Rising Star' Showcases
promising young skaters, ages 6-21, from around the world and around
Connecticut," said Thomas. The show gives the community a first time
look at these very talented kids."
