How do I register?
ISCC offers secure and safe online registration. To register, click here: Latimer Lane School
Do you pro-rate if my child joins after the first week?
We do not pro-rate or provide make-ups for missed weeks.
What should I expect on my first day?
Upon arriving at ISCC, skaters will enjoy supervised snack & social time in the Sk8ter'z Cafe. When it's time to skate, they'll lace up and hop on the ice! Skaters are able to take breaks in the Sk8ter'z Cafe as needed. At the end of skating time, skaters will be picked up promptly by a parent or bussed back to school for pick-up.
What should my child wear?
Layers are always a good choice to ensure warmth during skating time. Gloves or mittens are strongly recommended. It is encouraged to wear pants that are comfortable and flexible (leggings, sweatpants/joggers, etc). Please, no knee pads as they are slippery and make it difficult to stand up and limit your range of motion.
Are skate rentals available?
Yes, skate rentals (Figure or Hockey) are available for $5.00 for a pair. Purchase skates for the whole session ($30.00) when signing up. We will track your skater's size and ensure they are in the correct fit and same pair each week.
Where can I buy ice skates?
Some sporting goods stores carry ice skates. Figure skates are recommended for beginners as they provide better support and a better blade to learn on. We prohibit double runner skates (two blades on each skate). We recommend renting before buying. If your skater shows interest in hockey or figure skating, we can recommend our in-house sports shop or other figure skating-specific stores.
Are helmets required?
Helmets are required for skaters under the age of 7. Bike helmets are fine.
