Virtual Test Session
A Rolling Virtual Test Session allows skaters to complete U.S. Figure Skating tests by submitting a recorded video rather than testing live at the rink. This flexible option is ideal for skaters who need more scheduling freedom, do not have access to in-person test sessions, or prefer to test when they feel most prepared.
Skaters may record their test at a time and rink of their choosing, following U.S. Figure Skating virtual testing guidelines. Once the recording is complete, the skater submits their application, required permissions, and video for review. All tests are evaluated by official U.S. Figure Skating judges, just as they would be during an in-person test session.
Because this is a rolling test session, there is no single test date. Applications and videos are accepted on an ongoing basis, allowing skaters to test throughout the year rather than waiting for a scheduled session. Results are emailed after the judging panel has completed its review.
All skaters must be eligible to test under the current U.S. Figure Skating rulebook and must submit complete paperwork for their application to be processed. After registering, skaters will receive the test application via email. Once the completed application is returned, an invoice will be added to the skater’s account. Upon payment, the test submission process will be finalized. Video recordings will be submitted through a Google Drive link, which will also be emailed along with the application.
