Learn to Play - NY Rangers

Cost: $295 (10 Week Session)

Open to boys and girls ages 4 - 10. No skating experience required. Full equipment package available to first time players.

Winter Session II

Saturdays 8:15 – 9:15 AM

12/2, 12/9, 12/16, 1/6, 1/13, 1/20, 1/27, 2/3, 2/10, 2/17 (10 Weeks)

Full equipment package is only available to first time players who have no previous registration with USA Hockey.

Creating a safe environment for families to develop a love for hockey is integral to the Learn to Play program and the first step in doing so is providing all participants with head-to-toe equipment. Participants will be properly fitted with equipment during an in-person fitting event held at ISCC.

ALL THE EQUIPMENT PROVIDED WILL BE FOR PARTICIPANTS TO KEEP UPON COMPLETION OF THE PROGRAM.

Not ready to commit to a full season yet and want to give hockey a try?

First Stride Hockey Drop In Sessions are a great way for your player to jump on the ice once or twice before moving to the NY Rangers Learn to Play program. Open to boys and girls aged 4 - 10.

• No skating experience is required to participate in either program.
• Players looking for a full season of hockey are encouraged to register with NY Rangers Learn to Play.
• Players may join the NY Rangers Learn to Play mid-session, however the session cannot be prorated regardless of start date. Full set of gear available to all new players.

Drop in sessions offered every Sunday at 9:00 AM. Pre-registration is required.

Required equipment: Skates, gloves, helmet and hockey stick. Rental skates available at the front desk (limited sizes).

Now that your child has the basics covered, let's take it up a notch! Each player will have the chance to put their skills to the test in a fun and competitive environment.

Participants will learn the basic game and team concepts, plus, they will build important characteristics on and off the ice: teamwork, responsibility, and respect. Twice a week, for 10 weeks, your child will have the opportunity to play cross ice games led by Rangers and ISCC coaching staff. It is a fun way to meet new teammates and play some hockey before moving on to your local youth program.
